Ventilation

1. Qualitative measures such as observation of chest excursion, breathing bag, and bilateral breath sounds are USEFUL
2. Continual presence of exhaled C0₂ shall be performed unless invalidated by the procedure or equipment
3. ETT and/or LMA placement must be verified by clinical signs and by detecting C0₂ in the exhaled gas.
4. Exhaled C0₂ shall be measured quantitatively by capnography or mass spectroscopy.
