To ensure adequate oxygen concentration in the inspired gas and patient's blood

• When using GETA the concentration of 0₂ shall be measured with an 0₂ analyzer and a low-0₂ concentration alarm
• A quantitative method of 0₂ assessment such as Pulse oximetry shall be used
